Greg and I took off on Thursday to head north to my parents. The weather was crappy when we left our house, but we thought the storm had passed through. However, we were wrong. It was a horrible day of driving. My aunt and uncle were stranded at KCI because STL airport was shut down. We ended up picking them up at the airport and taking them east. On the way we stopped in Brunswick to see the Spark's and their new addition to the family. Little Courtney is adorable! We also ate at Railway Steakhouse and it was awesome food. I would recommend you try it if you are in the area. Our normal 8 hour trip ended up being 14 hours.
The weekend was a whirlwind. My grandpa was very surprised at the party on Saturday night and there was a good turnout. It was good to see everyone and do some dancing too. Sunday we headed to Columbia to meet up with Greg's family at the Angus futurity. We headed south and stayed with the McConnell's that night. Monday morning we continued our journey south, making a pit stop in Perkins, OK for a bull sale. I have never been so happy to be home.
Greg left Tuesday for Iowa and will be back on Sunday. This worked out good because I still have to finish my thesis! I'm having panic attacks about it because I defend in two weeks and I'm not done writing.
