The beginning

I've decided to join the blogger band wagon. Since we live far away from our family and many friends, hopefully this is a way to keep up with us, but don't expect a lot of excitement from us! The blog will be random musings, the happenings in Oklahoma, and whatever else crosses my mind (or Greg's).

I can't believe that the first month of 2008 is gone, where does the time go? So far this year we went to a George Strait concert with our friends Bruce and Ann. It was the best concert I have ever been to in my entire life. The following weekend, we went to a OKC Blazers hockey game with Ann since Bruce was in Denver. I'd never been to a hockey game and it was AWESOME! The fights were great and the Blazers were playing their biggest rival, Tulsa. The Blazers won, making the game even better. Last weekend we went to Fort Worth on Sat. to the Stock Show. We met up with Felipe (Greg's coworker) and watched the Angus heifer show. We also ran into some friends from Missouri. It was great to see everyone. It ended up being a really long day because we drove back that night.

Greg is staying busy at work. I'm still working on that darn thesis. I'm almost done with Chapter 4. Tomorrow is dedicated to Chapter 5, so I hope to get a good draft by the end of the day. I'm planning on defending the first part of March, so I really need to get in gear. I'm also job searching which is time consuming. We are hunting for a house to buy, so far we've had some good possibilities, but things just haven't worked out for us.

Andy and Jessica got engaged New Years, so there is another Lehenbauer wedding this year. I found out two on my good friends are expecting this year. One in August, the other in September.

It snowed here yesterday. The weather people here make Greg and I laugh sometimes. We are glad we grew up in Missouri and know what snow is and how to drive safely on it. I saw many people in the ditch on my way home yesterday.

I'm rambling away - I'll try to post pictures of the hockey game and George Strait sometime.
