Yesterday was interesting to say the least.
Greg preg checked some cows in the morning. While he was gone I decided to do some cleaning which ended up in me rearranging the living room. Anyway - Mulhall (a little town south of us about 4 miles) was have their Wild West Days. We decided to go down there and watch the turtle races. We headed back home and ate some lunch and were watching a nature show when a tornado warning came across the TV for Kingfisher Co which is west of us. Then the national weather guy comes on and says a tornado is on the ground at Hennessey, a town directly west of where we live about 30 miles. Needless to say, we switched channels pretty quickly.
About the time we switched over, we saw the tornado hit a Seaboard hog farm. (The news channels have helicoptors flying around shooting footage of this.) This was around 2:30ish. We kept watching the storm. Our neighbor Carla called and asked if we were coming over to get in their shelter. So we went over to her house. We live right on the highway and there were TONS of morons watching this front move through. Greg took pictures of about 4 tornados that were within 5 miles of our house. Luckily, none came our way and we didn't have to take shelter. It was the freakiest thing to watch the clouds. I'll post pictures on Tuesday hopefully. But anyway, we are ok and this is the closest we have been to being near a tornado. We are very thankful this storm moved through during the day.
Have a great holiday weekend!

Baby Shower invites
I was very surprised to see in my inbox today that people had recieved their baby shower invites. I can now post the pictures of the invites that my friend Kellie and I made. Kellie is a scrapbooker, so I'm very thankful for her creativity!
They are each a little different on the front.

Friday
I finally brought one camera to download pictures off of, but of course it's not the one with all the graduation pictures. Go figure. It does have some pretty sweet pictures of some baby invites, but I don't want to show them until people actually get them in the mail. That will be next week's post.

Tanya, Kara, Amanda and I

We are headed to Adair tomorrow for the wedding. Greg said something about riding with Willy and Tracie Couch, so that will be fun. I hopefully will remember to take some pictures, I'm feeling pretty inspired by the Pioneer Woman blog and her pictures.
Have a great weekend!

New Hobby
I've been sucked in by a new hobby, well sorta new. I love to read, especially books that suck you in and you can't put them down. Now that I have some free time AND a hammock to relax in, I'm thinking about getting a library card to the Stillwater Public Library.
HOWEVER, I do not think any book can compete with the Pioneer Woman's blog. http://thepioneerwoman.com/ I HEART this blog. A must read is how her husband and her met. I'm been chuckling and snorting all morning as I read her entries. Needless to say, no work has been accomplished. :(
You should TOTALLY check her blog out. Her stories are funny and if you have ever been around agriculture, you'll LOVE it!
That's my thought for the day!

Where is SUMMER???
I'm slacking on the blogging thing, but honestly, my life is pretty boring. I have pictures I need to post from graduation, but I keep forgetting the cameras. I wish the weather would make up its mind whether it wants to be warm or cool.
Last weekend, Greg and I went to a farm sale and a cattle sale. Greg and our friend Doug were interested in buying a boat. The boat was Felipe's (another friend) and Doug was the auctioneer. We had to leave before the boat sold and they didn't get the boat bought. Which was ok, but slightly disappointing for Greg (I think).
Greg and I have been on a movie buying spree for some reason. We each bought a movie on Saturday night off the cheap Wal-mart clearance. I picked out Mel Brooks' Spaceballs, which Greg was very unhappy about. He thought I was getting Varsity Blues. I can't figure out why he wouldn't like Spaceballs, after all, he LOVES Blazing Saddles, another Mel Brooks movie (and I totally recommend it). He wouldn't even watch it with me. I really hope it is funny as I remember from when I was like 10.
This weekend we are headed to Adair, Oklahoma for a wedding. I'm excited about it, I just hope the wedding couple gets great weather because it is outside.
We will be home the first weekend of June (to northeast MO) for a baby shower for my friend Tara. I'm really excited about seeing my high school friends and especially Tara since I haven't seen her with the pregnant belly! I hope to see Selby Hulse too who was born in Feb to my friends Ryan and Leticia.
We are discussing a honeymoon trip (we are only 7 or 8 months behind). We want to go to San Antonio in June. Greg needs to use some vacation and with me unemployed, it would work great. I want to go to Sea World, the Alamo, and the Riverwalk. I thought we would go there for a week, but Greg wants to do a tour of Texas. I'm totally cool with that, as long as I get to go to Sea World. I sound like a little kid! He wants to go to College Station and then we thought about heading to Overton to see our friend Andrea and her beautiful Braham cattle she is doing research with.
Well, I'm headed out. It looks like it is going to rain......
