Week 32 and other updates

The first picture is Week 31 and baby Meier is growing like crazy!

This is Week 32 and 1 day (which is yesterday). We were out of the office on Tuesday, so picture day got moved by a day.

Week 32:

So about 8 weeks to go and I guess first time pregnancies tend to run late, so it be even a little longer. In baby class last week we watched a vaginal birth and this week we talked about drugs and C-sections. As we passed around birthing instruments and we got the catheter, Greg said O, I use this to flush cows. Next week is postpartum and care for a newborn. The first week of June I am taking the breastfeeding class and then I'm done. I'm glad we have taken the class because I feel more prepared for the delivery and have an idea what to expect and things to think about.

An update on Wyatt Woods, he is still in the hospital. He developed an infection and was unable to keep anything down. So they are keeping him in the hospital. They released Toni yesterday and hopefully Wyatt will get to come home soon. Please send some prayers to little Wyatt.

Baby Sharp will hopefully arrive tomorrow is the latest we heard from Josh and Megan on Tuesday. They are having a little girl and are going to name her Sunni.

Yesterday was some crazy weather around here. I ended up staying at work until around 8 to wait the storm out. Greg made it to Stillwater from Tulsa and hung out with me before the storm hit. I was worried he wouldn't make it in time to take shelter. Luckily the tornado's that did touch down did so in open areas and there was minimal damage. We took refuge in the Student Union basement with multiple people and their pets. We talked to Wayne (our neighbor) when we got home and there was a tornado that touched down about 2-3 miles east of our house but there was minimal damage.

Greg hit a deer with the Explorer yesterday morning but luckily there wasn't any damage. Since I rode home with him last night, he brought me to work this morning. In return, we stopped at Daylight Donuts and I bought him sausage rolls and chocolate milk. I love Daylight's sausage rolls and donuts. I thought it was a fair trade for him.

The weather is finally suppose to clear this weekend and turn off warm (mid 80 to low 90). My poor garden could use some sunlight. My plants have been beaten into the ground after the rain, hail, and wind we've had recently.

I have Bunco tonight and next week I go to the doctor. I'm moving from the 4 week appointments to 2 week appointments. Woo Hoo!

Baby Woods has arrived!

Wyatt Blake Woods arrived on Saturday, May 15 around 5:30 or so. He weighed 7 lbs, 7 oz and was 19 inches long. Proud parents are our friends Tracy and Toni Woods. Toni ended up having a C-section, but baby and mom are doing great. I hope to go see them this weekend.

In case you have seen on the news the crazy hailstorm that moved through Oklahoma yesterday, we fortunately did not get any of it. It just sprinkled a little bit at our house. We have been very lucky and missed most of the bad weather that has blanketed the state.

Yippee, it's Finally Friday!

This week has been hectic, crazy, busy! This post will be short because it is almost 5:00. This week I have had my yearly work evaluation, doctor's appointment, work retreat, volunteered at Special Olympics, visited day cares, went to a baseball game, went to child birth class, I have Bunco tonight, and survived the crazy weather here, all by myself as Greg was gone this week. I am ready for the weekend and some sleep!

So have a great weekend and I'll post some pictures next week!

Week 30!!!

Only 10 more more weeks to go!

Yes, I need a haircut. No, I'm not planning on getting one until the end of the month. I'm trying to grow out some layers and get some length back. However, I really did like my hair when it was short, so we'll see. And yes, my butt has also grown. It's a sad day.

Yes, I have two chins. Leave me alone, I'm pregnant and I like to eat, a lot, especially ice cream, with chocolate, and peanut butter, and any candy I may find at the house. I did have some caramel, but I ate it all. Greg was sad.

We went to our first baby class last night. It was boring, but as the lady said, you have to start somewhere. We (I, as Greg is gone next week) talk about the actual birth process next week and watch videos about it. Yippee! (not really) I'm on a sarcastic note today.

Tomorrow and Friday we are painting my "new" office at work. We had some moving about on our team so two of us are moving offices. I'm sad to leave my current office, but oh well. No more picking my nose in private (I joke, I joke people, laugh a little). I'm moving into the hottest office (literally, until the air conditioning in this joint is turned on). Maybe it will encourage an early labor. Just a thought.

So, I'm going to buy a new laptop. Any suggestions or thoughts? We want to get one with a big monitor, we were thinking 17". We have looked at Best Buy and Walmart so far. I'm leaning towards an HP.

Happy Cinco de Mayo! Go enjoy some Mexican.

Baby Sweeney has arrived!

Our friends Ryan and Dene Sweeney had their baby on Wednesday, April 28. It was a boy and they named him Kade Owen. He weighed 7 lb and 7 oz and was 19 inches long. Baby and mama are doing great. We went to dinner with Ryan and Dene on Saturday night and ran into Toni and Tracy Woods. Toni is due around May 17. Some other friends were with us and let me tell you, three pregnant women can be pretty demanding at Texas Roadhouse!

Babies coming up in May include Baby Woods (a boy) and Baby Sharp (A girl). This will be the summer of baby announcements. Baby Meier is going to have lots of friends to play with!

I'm still not sure what we are going to do about daycare. It is starting to stress me out some. I think next week I'm going to spend a day just visiting different centers around Stillwater, even if they don't have openings. I have been to one so far and it was really nice and convenient (on my way to and from work) but by far the most expensive. All the in home daycares I called are already full for fall or won't know until August. So, any suggestions?

Time moves so fast or is it slow?

Time seems to fly by some days but others it seems to drag on forever. I'm ready to have this kid and start our family, but the next second, not ready and think to myself what have we done? Last night I thought to myself, I look forward to the day when I sleep through the whole night, only to realize that's not going to happen for awhile. A long while.

A Wedding and baby shower!

Warning! Lots of pictures! (for once)

We had a wonderful trip to Missouri a few weekends ago for Greg's cousin's wedding and a baby shower for us. We borrowed a trailer so we could take Henry the horse to Missouri and bring Jake back. It's Jake's turn to get broke to ride, so he is back in Oklahoma now.

Ben and Shelly had a beautiful wedding and the day was gorgeous! The weather was so nice the entire time we were in Missouri.

Josey at the reception.

Us all dressed up for the ceremony. We haven't taken an "us" picture for awhile.

Sunday afternoon Paula hosted a baby shower for us. She made the wonderful diaper cake:

A picture of the parents, grandmas, great-grandmas, an aunt, and great aunt at the shower:

Eileen gave us our crib bedding and of course I had to put it on the crib to see what it looked like. Paula also got us the matching wall hangings, so I can take down the beer signs in the baby's room. It is super cute and we have the diaper holder to match. Each person brought a book to start Baby Meier's library. We are blessed with awesome friends and family!

This is week 27's picture from April 6. I don't like week 28's picture, so we'll skip it. I'm officially in my third trimester now. It seems like time has flown by, but there is still a long way to go!

Our friend Toni and Tracy are expecting their first child in 4 weeks. I went to a baby shower over the weekend for her. Pictured is her sister-in-law Micah who is 16 weeks pregnant, me at almost 28 weeks, and Toni at 36 weeks. I thought it was a really cute picture of us.

Have a great day!
