Baby Sweeney has arrived!

Our friends Ryan and Dene Sweeney had their baby on Wednesday, April 28. It was a boy and they named him Kade Owen. He weighed 7 lb and 7 oz and was 19 inches long. Baby and mama are doing great. We went to dinner with Ryan and Dene on Saturday night and ran into Toni and Tracy Woods. Toni is due around May 17. Some other friends were with us and let me tell you, three pregnant women can be pretty demanding at Texas Roadhouse!

Babies coming up in May include Baby Woods (a boy) and Baby Sharp (A girl). This will be the summer of baby announcements. Baby Meier is going to have lots of friends to play with!

I'm still not sure what we are going to do about daycare. It is starting to stress me out some. I think next week I'm going to spend a day just visiting different centers around Stillwater, even if they don't have openings. I have been to one so far and it was really nice and convenient (on my way to and from work) but by far the most expensive. All the in home daycares I called are already full for fall or won't know until August. So, any suggestions?

Lesley, Katie Reim's sister moved back to Stillwater this spring and has her 2-year-old in daycare somewhere. I think she's been happy with it, but I don't know where it is. You might ask Katie. I know her sister Annie looked around quite a bit.

Try finding daycare in a town of 2,000. When Brody's sitter told us in January that she was leaving in May (which ended up being March), we all panicked! Luckily, a friend is keeping him now until summer with her 3 girls, a high school girl is keeping Brody this summer, and then another daycare can take him when he turns 2 (2 weeks after school starts...). It's kind of been a crazy mess and hopefully not too traumatizing on the little guy! You will find something, though. Visit as many as you can and use your first impression. These people will be keeping your pride and joy. Ask for references. If they are good, they will be happy to do that for you. Good luck!
