Tim McGraw and a Weekly recap

I'm going to a Tim McGraw/Jason Aldean concert tonight with our friend Ann. I'm leaving Greg with her husband Bruce. Bruce didn't want to go so Ann invited me. I'm really excited about it!

Our power was off for about 13.5 hours the other day. Luckily the freezer didn't thaw so the meat was ok. We have the best neighbors ever because Wayne checked on our freezer for us while we were at work.

I taught GPS yesterday to some kiddos and today I'm learning how to use a Trimble Juno GPS/PDA. It's pretty neat.

There was an armadillo in our backyard, making a nest under our shed this morning. Greg went to shoo it away (the gun is at work) but couldn't find it. I went outside to tell Greg bye only to see the armadillo had dug up my flowers I've been planting the last two days. 2 dozen flower plants to be exact. I called Greg and told him to bring home the gun. This armadillo crossed the line. I worked really hard planting the flowers. If it touches my tomato plants, that's definately signing a death wish!

The weather is great here, if not a little warm. It's suppose to be in the mid 90's for the next week or so. It would be great lake weather! I'm helping a friend move this weekend.

I made some cheese fondue for an office party yesterday. Since it had to be non-alcoholic, finding a recipe was a little difficult. The one I found called for apple cider, but of course I couldn't find that. Grandma suggested using chicken broth and it turned out find (I guess, people ate it) I thought it had too much mustard taste (it used mustard powder) but Greg didn't. I remember all the great times McKenzie and I, sometimes LePage would sit on our porch, eat fondue, talk, and drink some great wine. I can't wait to do it again.

Have a great weekend! I'll be headed back to Missouri next weekend, to see the pregnant people! :)
