It's 2012!

Oops! I haven't forgotten about the blog, life is just hectic! This week is a big week for me at work. It is career fair week and our fair maxed out at 180 employers and we have a wait list. Of course, Tyler got sick today at daycare, so we came home. Let's hope this doesn't happen on Thursday!

Tyler got tubes in his ears three weeks ago. It was a great decision and was a quick surgery. He is a lot happier. A big change in a few weeks for Tyler is a new daycare. I'm excited about this change but worried how Tyler will handle it. He has been trying to bite at home and the girls in his class taught him to pull his pants down, so let's hope he doesn't do this on the first day at the new daycare.

I'll try to post some of our family pics next week.

Mid Nov - through Mid Dec

This what has been happening at the Meier's:
  • Tyler had a goopy eye and also an ear infection around Nov. 17.
  • We headed to Missouri on Nov. 18 for the holiday. Our first stop was northeast Missouri. Kye was baptized on Sunday Nov. 20. Greg and I were sponsors. We hung out and played on the farm and then headed south on Nov. 22.
  • In the process of heading south, Tyler got sick. It sucked, he threw up in McDonalds.
  • Thanksgiving was celebrated with Greg's family.
  • We helped Greg's family get ready for their cattle sale on Nov. 26. The sale went really good. Mom came down to help with Tyler.
  • Greg's work is really hectic right now
  • My office is getting new flooring so we all were housed in a big room. Productivity was low, but it was FUN!
  • Tyler has another infection, we went to the doctor on Dec. 7. Any more ear infections and it is looking like tubes for him.
  • I turn 3-0 on Saturday so we are doing dinner with friends. I'm excited!

This is from Heidi's baptism in October. I think it is hilarious.

Greg, Tyler, and I after the sale. It was raining so my straight hair became wavy.

November, so far

Here's what we have been doing this month so far:
  • Greg turned 30 on Nov. 2
  • We invited friends to Lucille's for dinner on Saturday to celebrate. We had a good turnout and we all had a great time.
  • Greg and I went to the OSU v K-state game on Nov. 5. It was intense but an awesome game. I'm so glad we went. We were the 4th row. Tyler stayed with our friend Kara. She has some really cute pics of him from that night.
  • We have felt 3 earthquakes officially. It's a crazy feeling.
  • We took family pics on Nov. 5. They will be used on our Christmas card. Sneak peek is my facebook profile.
  • My office is getting new carpet in the next couple of months so it is crazy around here as people are packing and cleaning out junk. I don't have that much as I purge after each semester.
  • Lots of babies are being born right now. Ella Carr and Sylvia Ruiz both arrived today. Congrats friends!
  • We are headed home for the Thanksgiving holiday and Greg's family's cattle sale.
  • The church we attend in Perry celebrated its 110th anniversary on Sunday. It was a church full and a great service on Sunday. Tyler was perfect and even adopted an older gentleman as we walked out. He did not want to come home with us.
  • Tyler is growing like a weed. It's hard to believe he is 16 months old now. He is finally adjusted to his new classroom, I hope.

So, it's been awhile

Sorry it has been so long since I updated the blog. I have been swamped at work.

Last weekend went to Palmyra because Heidi was baptized. She is such a sweet little girl. I couldn't believe how light she was compared to Tyler. We also got to meet Kye, our nephew. He looks like Mark. I wish I could say I have lots of pictures, but I don't. It was a quick trip up there and back.

We have some pretty great videos of Tyler. I will try to get them loaded someday. He is a climber is all I have to say!

August with the Meier's

August was a interesting and rough month at the Meier household.

Tyler and I were in Missouri the first week, it was our first solo trip. While we were gone, Greg got kicked and we were afraid something was wrong with his knee, it's still sore but ok I think. The second week of August, Greg got three of his four wisdom teeth cut out. Eileen came down to take care of him and see Tyler. The one tooth is the largest the dentist has ever seen and I think kept it to show people. Greg is still sore from this and actually went back to the dentist because he was in so much pain the following week.

Classes started at OSU on August 22. Our good friend's father passed away this week, so Greg went to see him in Missouri and then drove to San Antonio for a conference. He was gone 6 days for that trip. During that time Tyler decided to fake being sick one day. This week Greg was gone to another conference in Joplin and during that time Tyler's eye became swollen. I took him to Urgent Care and got some medicine. Of course it didn't get better so we went back to the doctor and the other eye became swollen. We narrowed it down to something caused his allergies to flare up and make it look like he had been in a fight with swollen eyes. So he is now on Claritin, Benadryl, an antibiotic, and has eye drops. The antibiotic causes loose stools so he also has an awful diaper rash. Let's just say its been a rough week for Tyler. On the bright side, college football starts tomorrow!

We are just going to relax this week after the interesting month we have had. Now onto the pictures from August:
Tyler likes to get his own cookies out.

This chair was his birthday present from us. He loves it and just lounges away.

Tyler being silly.
Tyler loves to drive. He can start my car for me. It's kinda scary.

He likes to stack the blocks and knock them down

Tyler likes to sit in the Bumbo with his puppy.

Tyler likes to play in his swimming pool.
