Heidi Mae has arrived!

Tyler has his first cousin on the Lehenbauer side.

Heidi Mae Lehenbauer arrived on Saturday, August 6th at 6:40 a.m.(ish). She was 8 lbs, 5 oz and 19 or 20 inches long. I went to the hospital to see her and the new parents. Unfortunately, I did not get to hold her as she was only a few hours old and they were still cleaning her up and I had to leave to get back to Oklahoma. She came with a full head of black hair!

Congrats to my little brother Andy and his wife Jessica. She is beautiful!

Trip to Missouri

Tyler and I had an excursion to Missouri all by ourselves. I then went to Purdue for a conference and Tyler spent lots of time with the grandparents and great grandparents.

It was the county fair so Grandpa and Tyler checked out the animals. Tyler LOVED the goats. I do mean LOVE.

He was so tired, so he laid his head on Jules for a nap.

Grandma let him be a messy eater.

What is this tall green stuff?

Tyler had not seen green grass since our last trip to Missouri. He loved it.

Happy Birthday Tyler!

One year ago today, we welcomed Tyler James into the world:

Today he is one year old and looks like this (all pictures are from the last week):

Taken on Monday with his birthday present from dad and mom - his own rocker chair!
Birthday party number 2 in Missouri with his sunglasses! (Thanks grandma!)

Checking out the D17 on the farm, tires are good!

His new swing and it is hanging up in Oklahoma and we used it last night! (Thanks Uncle Andy and Aunt Jessica)

 Future Missouri Tiger?

Playing in his swimming pool

We love you Tyler James (aka T Jimmy, TJ, Ty)

I hope to have a post and more pictures from our Missouri trip up sometime soon as well as some videos taken recently.

I also want to shout out to Mindy and Kevin Walthall (Mindy is my coworker) whose little boy Cortland Gage was born this morning! Tyler and Cortland have the same birthday! More on this later . . .

You need to check this out . . .

My friend Melanie has a great post today about how to make bags from feed sacks. This is in turn led me to finding other blogs I think I HAVE to follow. This is why I don't click on links to other blogs. They just suck me right in and I don't get anything done

So check out the Traveling Cowgirl blog on my blog list.

P.S. - It didn't hail at our house, so the car is a ok

Monday, June 20, 2011

Oh weather,

So we *MIGHT* get baseball size hail this afternoon. Nothing like having a new car with no garage. Luckily I have a great friend who has offered to let Tyler and I come over and hang out and park the car in her garage until the weather passes.

I'll let you know if it hails or not.

Greg said he never realized the weather reporting in Missouri was so bad until this weekend. He heard the tornado sirens, but the weather guy was tweeting instead of reporting the weather on camera. Thank gosh we have Gary, Rick, and EMILY (ha ha, she's a Mizzou grad)! And Val to storm track. Is it bad you are on a first name basis with storm trackers and the weathermen/women? In this state you say their name and everyone knows who you are talking about.

Seriously . . .

This week cannot end soon enough. With the drama and stress I've had this week, I would like to wipe my hands clean and start fresh next week, drama and stress free.

Thankfully I have a beautiful little boy, who I love dearly, and that is all that matters. Living in Oklahoma is a blessing in disguise sometimes.

Tyler 11 months

We made a quick trip to Missouri over Memorial weekend to celebrate the pending arrival of Baby Girl Lehenbauer. While there, Tyler got sick in addition to teething. Let's just say, it was not a pleasant drive. However, the shower was great and we got to see lots of people! We went to visit the Miller family and take Molly her birthday present while in north Missouri. Unfortunately, Molly got sick from our visit (we still feel really bad about it too!)

When we returned to Oklahoma, Tyler was moved to the Toddler class at daycare. It was a bit sudden, but the transition has been ok so far. Tyler eats the school food some days and some days he doesn't. They go outside twice a day to play. The first week was a little rough, but I think he likes it a lot better now. Tyler gets a bath every night now since he is usually pretty dirty from playing outside and smells like sunscreen. He is finally starting to put on some weight again.

Taken Sunday - almost 11 months

Also taken Sunday, out for a stroll

Taken the first part of the month

Monday's attempt at a 11 month photo shoot - did not go well

Grandma bought Tyler some shades, they are a bit big!
