A Wedding and baby shower!

Warning! Lots of pictures! (for once)

We had a wonderful trip to Missouri a few weekends ago for Greg's cousin's wedding and a baby shower for us. We borrowed a trailer so we could take Henry the horse to Missouri and bring Jake back. It's Jake's turn to get broke to ride, so he is back in Oklahoma now.

Ben and Shelly had a beautiful wedding and the day was gorgeous! The weather was so nice the entire time we were in Missouri.

Us all dressed up for the ceremony. We haven't taken an "us" picture for awhile.

Sunday afternoon Paula hosted a baby shower for us. She made the wonderful diaper cake:

Eileen gave us our crib bedding and of course I had to put it on the crib to see what it looked like. Paula also got us the matching wall hangings, so I can take down the beer signs in the baby's room. It is super cute and we have the diaper holder to match. Each person brought a book to start Baby Meier's library. We are blessed with awesome friends and family!

This is week 27's picture from April 6. I don't like week 28's picture, so we'll skip it. I'm officially in my third trimester now. It seems like time has flown by, but there is still a long way to go!

Our friend Toni and Tracy are expecting their first child in 4 weeks. I went to a baby shower over the weekend for her. Pictured is her sister-in-law Micah who is 16 weeks pregnant, me at almost 28 weeks, and Toni at 36 weeks. I thought it was a really cute picture of us.

Have a great day!

Baby pics

I'm really starting to show now! I am in week 26 right now. Next week I go for my glucose test. Woo Hoo! Last night baby Meier was really moving and shaking. We could see it's little kicks as we were watching my belly. I've been tired lately, but it might be because I've been trying to walk more and do more stuff around the house since the weather has been so nice. Or because Greg is keeping me out so late on Friday nights.

Week 26 - After reviewing the original picture taken yesterday, we took a different one today. I was not looking so hot and the elastic waistband was showing, not so sexy. Trust me.

Week 25 - my coworkers stated I can't wear black on picture day because it is slimming. I agree. I need to remember this on Tuesdays, someone please remind me.

We are headed to Missouri this weekend for Ben and Shelly's wedding. Ben is Greg's cousin. I'm really excited for their wedding and dancing, I hope. I'm also the designated driver. On the bright side, we don't have to call Eileen to come pick up the drunks! I can shuttle everyone home.

We are also having our first baby shower, which is exciting and scary at the same time. The whole having a baby is becoming a reality! My mom and grandma are coming down, so I'll get to see them, which is good.

Henry the horse was in trouble on Saturday. He escaped from his pen and managed to get in with some of Wayne's calves on wheat pasture. So Greg took him and helped gathered cows with some friends, so he was pretty tired on Saturday night. Greg said he did alright which is good, since it was his first time to do that with Greg riding him.

The snakes are out and about, which does not make me happy. We had a small patch of grass, so Greg mowed it for me and is spraying the weeds today. I was worried about a snake hanging out in the tall grass in our front yard.

I now have two cats, both who have adopted us. Patches has been around for awhile and recently another cat has started hanging out with Patches. I still haven't came up with a name for it yet. It isn't tame, but does come up and eat and follow me around the yard. Hopefully they will keep the mice and snake population down around our house.

I should mention there is another baby explosion going on this year. We have multiple friends due in May, June, July, and all the way to October. It's nice to have so many people to talk to. I'm very lucky in I haven't been sick or had any problems.

It's finally warm!

The weather this week is in the 80s, however it is windy. But I don't care because the sun is shining! It makes me want to plant flowers and my garden, but I know it is too early to get that excited, yet. I hope you are having awesome weather too, wherever you may be.

Also, check out my friend Tara's blog about using coupons and their money saving website, Froogaloo. This is get site for those of you who live in Missouri, especially those in the STL area.

Is it spring yet?

So we have officially had some crazy weather this past week. Friday it was 70 degrees, Saturday we had 5-6 inches of snow and yesterday it was 75 degrees. The panhandle is suppose to get some snow today. Seriously, I just want it to be spring! I'm ready to plant some flowers and see things green up around here.

We had a great time in Vegas with the family. It was interesting to see the different people. We did not come back big winners unfortunately. I really enjoyed Fremont St and if we go again, I would like to stay there, maybe at the Golden Nugget. Below is a picture of Greg at the Bellagio fountain show.

We had lunch one day at the top of the Stratosphere tower. You rotate around once during your meal. It was an awesome view.

The baby incubating it coming right along. This is a picture from yesterday, which is 24 weeks. Thanks for the dress Lane! I received many compliments on it!

We finally get our baby registries started. I'm still tweaking them some. We have the crib, changing table, and a three drawer dresser set up in the room so far. We have hauled two loads of stuff to be stored in Missouri with maybe some more headed that way in April.

Vegas, Baby!

Greg and I are headed to Vegas tomorrow to meet my parents, grandma, and aunt for a few days of fun and relaxation. I'm pretty excited about it. I hope to have some good pictures to share when I get back. It will be Baby Meier's second airline flight as I flew to Nashville in December for a conference, already such a traveler.

Wow, February is half over!

I can't believe how fast time is flying by! I can't believe it's been 4 weeks since I last posted. Greg has been busy with work and my work is picking up as recruiting season is rapidly approaching.

Last week we had our career fair and I was tired after that day. It took everything I had to make it home and get myself into bed. It's a sad day when you can barely make it to 9:30 p.m. because you are so tired. Friday was a long day at work. I had to make myself get out of bed and go to work. It seemed like everyone at work was tired, sore, and slightly grumpy. I spent the weekend cleaning the house since Greg was gone. It just seems to go so much better when he isn't around. I also took a few naps, watched basketball, and the Olympics. All in all, a great weekend. The weather was pretty crazy though. Saturday is was 60 degrees and Sunday morning when I woke up it was snowing. This morning the windchill was about 10 degrees. I could really live without the Oklahoma wind some days.

I have another busy week with Bunco two nights and then we fly to Vegas on Saturday to meet my parents and grandma. I'm pretty excited about this trip. I'm not sure when I'm going to get all the packing done though. I hope the weather is nice there.

We went for an ultrasound last week. The baby looks healthy and it was really neat to see it all. I hope to get the pictures scanned in and posted sometime this week. I have tried to take a few belly pictures, but you can't really tell in them, I just look fat, so I'll work on that too. I can still wear most of my pants (just unbuttoned). Luckily, people have been giving me some maternity clothes so I'll have something to wear once I really start showing. I can feel the movement now which is a weird feeling.
